Diploma in Medical Lab Technology ( DMLT )

The Medical Lab Technology Diploma is a certification program designed for aspiring lab technicians. Completed in 1-2 years, it combines theory and hands-on training, covering anatomy, physiology, medical terms, safety, equipment use, quality control, and data analysis.

Graduates are qualified to work in hospitals, clinics, research labs, and diagnostic centers, performing tests, analyzing results, and maintaining equipment. Admission requirements typically include a high school diploma or equivalent, with some programs possibly requiring prior work experience or specific academic qualifications.

Diploma in Operation Theater Technology ( DOT )

The Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology program equips students with the skills to work in operation theatres or surgical suites. Typically lasting two years, this program covers medical terminology, anatomy, surgical instrumentation, infection control, patient care, and operation theatre management.

Clinical rotations provide hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining equipment, assisting during surgeries, and post-operative care. Graduates can find employment as Operation Theater Technicians, Surgical Technicians, or Surgical Assistants in hospitals, clinics, or surgical centers. 

Diploma in Optometry ( DOPT )

The Diploma in Optometry is a specialized program that trains individuals in the field of optometry, a healthcare profession focusing on the visual system’s examination, diagnosis, treatment, and management. During the program, students study eye anatomy, refractive errors, binocular vision, ocular diseases, and diagnostic techniques.

They also learn about lenses, vision correction, and contact lens fitting. Comprehensive eye examinations and the management of eye conditions like glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy are part of the training. The diploma typically takes 2-3 years.

Diploma in Dialysis Technology ( DDT )

The Diploma in Dialysis Technology is a specialized program that trains individuals to operate and maintain dialysis machines for kidney disease patients. Students learn about kidney function, various dialysis types, therapy principles, and equipment use. The curriculum includes theory, practical sessions, and clinical training.

Graduates become dialysis technicians working in hospitals, clinics, or centers, ensuring smooth machine operation, monitoring patients, and providing care. The diploma can take one to two years to complete, with some institutes requiring a healthcare or science-related background. 

Diploma in Duty Nursing ( DDNA )

The Diploma in Nursing Assistance is a vocational program that equips individuals with the necessary skills to assist registered nurses in various healthcare settings. This comprehensive program combines theoretical coursework and practical training.

Topics covered include anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, infection control, nursing care, medication administration, patient assessment, and communication skills. Specialized training in areas like pediatrics, geriatrics, and mental health nursing may also be included. The program typically takes 6-12 months to complete.

Diploma in General Nursing Maternity Asst ( DGNMA )

The Diploma in Maternity Assistance program prepares individuals to work in maternity care, offering support to pregnant women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.

The curriculum covers anatomy, prenatal care, labor, postpartum care, breastfeeding support, newborn care, maternal mental health, medical interventions, emergency procedures, and cultural considerations. Graduates can work as maternity assistants or support workers in hospitals, birthing centers, clinics, or home birth services, collaborating with midwives and nurses. 

Diploma in Critical Care Management ( DCCM )

The Diploma in Critical Care Management is a specialized program designed to equip healthcare professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage patients in critical care settings.

Targeted toward nurses, doctors, and other healthcare providers in intensive care units (ICUs) or critical care environments, the curriculum covers advanced life support, patient assessment, multidisciplinary team management, critical care pharmacology, and evidence-based practices. Clinical rotations and simulation exercises provide practical experience in critical care scenarios. 

Diploma in X-ray Imaging Technician ( DXIT )

The Diploma in X-Ray Imaging Technology equips students with the skills and knowledge to become X-ray technologists. This program combines classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience. Students learn X-ray imaging principles, radiation safety, patient care, and anatomy.

They also receive training in operating X-ray equipment, positioning patients, and analyzing images. Graduates are eligible for the certification exam to become registered X-ray technologists. They can further specialize in areas like CT, MRI, or mammography through additional training. 

Diploma in Anesthesia Technology ( DAT )

The Diploma in Anesthesia Technology program offers education and training in this field, where technicians assist anesthesiologists during surgeries. The program covers theoretical and practical coursework, including anatomy, pharmacology, anesthesia techniques, patient monitoring, and managing emergencies.

Diploma in Physiotherapy ( DPT )

The Diploma in Physiotherapy is a professional qualification for those aspiring to work as physiotherapists. Physiotherapists treat various conditions like musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular disorders, catering to patients of all ages.
